Ain Adjroud, in the municipality of Marsa Benmhidi, wilaya of Tlemcen; Dahra, in the municipality of El Marsa, wilaya of Chlef; and Sidi Ladjel, in the municipality of El Khadra, wilaya of Mostaganem, all in Algeria.
Project Owner/s
Algerian State-owned oil company SONATRACH Group. SONATRACH Group subsidiary Algerian Desalination Company will supervise the construction works of the proposed plants.
Project Description
The three desalination plants will each have a capacity of 300 000 m3/d upon completion.
The projects form part of the first phase of a national programme, which includes the construction of six large water desalination plants.
